An artist who creates modern, bespoke artwork - with a difference!
My name is Danielle Slade and I am a local artist from Hartlepool. I created my business - The Little Art Box - in 2019 as a different way of using my sketches. I love to draw, and was always told I should sell my drawings - but I wanted to do something different, rather than sell as regular prints! So that's when I experimented with pen and glass :) and I LOVED the outcome!
My finished products are a unique floating frame; I draw onto one side of the glass, and the ink is sandwiched between two panes and held together in a wooden frame. I have a variety of sizes and coloured frames. I also have larger pieces of art! After a year of being restricted with sizes of my floating frames, I experimented and discovered bespoke acrylic sheets. And that's how I can now create even larger pieces of art! I again draw my design onto one sheet, sandwich the crystal clear acrylic sheets together and they are wall mounted using stand-off polished chrome wall fixings.
