I’m originally from Bradford. I moved to Hartlepool six years ago to settle down with my husband, I'm a full time hairdresser at Poppys Hairdressing which I absolutely love and have been doing for twelve years. A couple of years ago I did my BA Hons degree in Creative Studies where I studied various ways of creating masks, puppets and much more I have always been creative which shows in my hair work and my business. When the first lock down started I wanted to try and be productive and try and help some how to raise money so I decided to create some rainbow hangers that said “you’ve got this” as a positive keep sake and reminder. I created over forty of these hangers and all money went to the NHS which was roughly around £200 as people saw my art I thought why not give this a try! So I did and a year later my small business from my spare room is going at a small and steady rate that works lovely alongside working full time. I create and draw anything from beautiful flowers, animals, people and anything else that people would like bespoke orders are my favourite as I can really capture what the customer is wanting.
